Relay for Life in May raised $12k and was split with The Mat Su Relay for Life for cancer research. We held an auction to raise the funds with donations from the community and also helped with set up and clean up at the event.
Kids Don't Float Kiosks were planted at Seymore lake, Bear Paw Lake and one will be planted at Millers Landing in the next few weeks. The materials were donated by Susitna Rotary for the kiosks and Mat Su Health Foundation provided the signage and the floatation jackets. Ralph and Claudia Buzard headed the project.
The Mid Valley Senior Center had a community garden that our club helped with financially. This garden provided healthy veggies to Seniors who may not have had them otherwise.
The gazebo at the Mid Valley Senior Center is in need of refurbishing and that project will be completed this Fall.
